Concerning hips, we guarantee that the pups will go OFA Fair or better at 24
months of age and/or PennHIP at or below the breed average at the time, at a
year of age or older. The dogs will be guaranteed against genetic problems
such as congenital heart problems, hypothyroidism, entropian or ectropian
eyelids, and deafness. All other problems will be dealt with as they arise.
Also please be informed that we have no control over how the dog is raised
after it has left us and we will not be held responsible for replacing the pup
or refunding any money due to owner negligence. Examples of such situations
would be demodectic mange as a result of breeding a female without rest or
raising a puppy entirely on cement or an overweight puppyhood...both which
could lead to hip problems as adults. Situations such as those mentioned will
result in a voided guarantee. Finally, once the dog has been bred to or bred
from, all guarantees are void, so it is in your best interest to have the dog
thoroughly examined before breeding. Bottom line is...if the dog has obvious
genetic problems, and the problem is something that would keep us from breeding
the dog, then of course we will be more than willing to stand behind our
guarantee of replacing the pup when one becomes available or refunding half the
price paid for the pup...your choice. In both situations, we must receive
confirmation that the dog was either spayed or neutered before the replacement
or refund will be made. In the case of a replacement, shipping and crate fees
are the buyer's responsibility. Please contact us before having the dog fixed
as we would like to be made aware of any such problems beforehand. Should you
choose to have the dog fixed and keep it as a working dog or simply as a pet,
then you may either hold out for another pup from our next breeding or we will
gladly refund half of the price paid for the dog. We have been burned before
when our first male was diagnosed with moderate hip dyspasia. We would have
been perfectly content with half of the money back, which was still a lot to
pay for a pet quality dog, but the breeder decided to make it hard on us.
Therefore, this is why we wish to offer this option to puppy customers. We do
not intend to have litters on the ground all of the time, so the refund may be
something to consider since it may be up to a year or more before we have
another pup available. So, after all of that, there's just one more thing we
ask of our puppy customers...if for any reason, you should feel that you cannot
continue to keep your dog, whether it still be a puppy or a full grown adult,
please, please, please, contact us before you do anything with it. We may
consider a buyback or we may be able to help you locate a suitable home for it.
In closing, we are very confident that the pups will be adaptable to each
owner's individual needs. We believe that they will make great family
companions as well as being capable of working right along side some of the
best in the breed.
