For starters, we are not a professional kennel by any standards. We do not and
will not have a dozen or more dogs penned up in the back yard shelling out
puppies constantly. We feel that it is challenging enough to give the proper
attention to the few dogs that we do have. To put it quite simply, we are just
a family that loves our bulldogs.

We do attend as many shows and working seminars that we can and will continue to
do so. There is this thing called "work" that keeps our show schedule in check.
There's no way a person can judge the quality of there own dogs until they've
seen some others and one of the best ways to do so is by going to the shows.
You might think that your dog is the coolest, baddest dog on the planet until
you've seen some of the truly great one's. Although we do compete in
conformation, it is not our main focus. It's easy to find a good-looking dog,
whip it into some sort of shape, and trot him around the ring, but the real fun
is in the working events. Sure it feels great to have your dog win a Best in
Show, but wait until you get him/her to pull 1000 pounds on a cart simply
because you asked it to. Or better yet, watch him/her go after a bite like
there's no tomorrow, get driven back fifteen feet with a "bad guy" yelling and
swinging a clatter stick at him and the dog is still holding on for more!!
That's where the real fun is.

We ask that anyone considering getting an American Bulldog from us, or anyone
else for that matter, to strongly and seriously consider the responsibility of
owning such a breed. These dogs can be very energetic and need activities to
keep them out of trouble. They are incredibly strong and have an inherent
desire to bite things. With all of this comes a huge responsibility to your
dog, yourself, and everyone around you. When you walk your American Bulldog
down the street, you will constantly get stares and comments about it being the
"biggest pitbull that I've ever seen!" Are these dogs American Pit Bull
Terriers?...Absolutely not. Are they related to the American Pit Bull
Terrier?...Yes, distantly. The public is ignorant and it will take a small
miracle to change that. When socialized properly, these dogs can be just as
loving and people friendly as a Yorkie. Just take a look at the pictures on our
puppy page. Enough with the negative stuff. This breed will also play all day
if it is allowed to. They love to chase a ball or Frisbee, or play tug of war.
They make the best companions and enjoy car rides and walks in the park...they
just want to be where you are. If you choose to make your dog a working dog,
then they will work all day for you whether it be weightpulling, hog catching,
protection work, or whatever else you may have a need for. Some people breed
soley for companionship and others only for working capability. We like to have
both qualities in the same dog and this is something that this breed is quite
capable of. Our female is one of the best house dogs that we've ever had, but
she will also work herself into the ground for us. This breed thrives on praise
and if that means that they have to pull that big, heavy cart for 16 feet just
to get a "Good Boy!", then that's exactly what it will try to do. In my
opinion, there's no breed better than a well bred American Bulldog.
